linkling

잉클링

: a slight knowledge or suspicion; a hint.

inkle (utter in an undertone)

 

1. I had an inkling that something was not right when I noticed the suspicious behavior of my neighbor.

2. She had an inkling that her friend was planning a surprise party for her, based on the secretive conversations she overheard.


fidgety

퓌지리

: inclined to fidget; restless or uneasy.

 

1. The child grew fidgety during the long car ride, constantly shifting in their seat and playing with their toys.

2. The nervous speaker couldn't stay still on stage, pacing back and forth and appearing fidgety throughout their presentation.

: a person believing in or practicing religious heresy.

engulf

:(of a natural force) sweep over (something) so as to surround or cover it completely.

: eat or swallow (something) whole.

2. As the storm intensified, the waves grew larger and began to engulf the small boat, causing panic among the passengers.


persistent

Despite all the setbacks, I tried my best to remain persistent in achieving my goal.
